Silva Hrabar-Owens – Chair of Trustees

Having had 5 years experience in accounting and 15 years in the fashion retail industry, Silva now runs her own business selling sustainable fashion accessories online. Her areas of expertise are in leadership and people management, as well as the digital and business transformation of large retailers. This is her first charity role.

Sian Sinclair – Vice Chair

Sian has 20 years’ management experience in publishing and television with a particular expertise in brand management. She has been involved in her local community in Lambeth for many years, supporting new mothers through the National Childbirth Trust, running Speak Out Stay Safe workshops in South London primary schools for the NSPCC and working with Age UK Lambeth. In 2016 she was appointed as a magistrate and sits in both the criminal and family courts. She represents Home-Start Lambeth on the board of Home-Start London.

Eva Holden

Eva is a restructuring lawyer with 12 years’ experience advising on the delivery of complex projects and reorganisations across a range of sectors. Balancing the demands of work and three young children, Eva feels passionately about the importance of support for children and parents during the early years. 

Philippa Jackson

Philippa has an MSc in Corporate Governance and Business Ethics and work experience in Governance and Board Support within financial services and education. Her more recent experience has focused on school improvement and school governance in many communities across South London and East Sussex. Philippa is Clerk and Trustee to the Home-Start Lambeth Board of Trustees.

Mark Bannister

Mark spent 29 years working as Finance Director at Trailfinders. He left in late 2018 and joined Home-Start Lambeth as Treasurer the following year.

Lucy Alexander (Partnerships)

Lucy joined as a Trustee in 2015. She has worked in medical and mental health publishing for over 20 years, and is currently working for a charity who publishes communication tools for people with learning disabilities and autism. Her expertise is in rights management and marketing. She is also a qualified breastfeeding counsellor for the National Childbirth Trust, and has lived in Lambeth for over 20 years.
