Parenting during a pandemic is hard!

While we still can’t offer our home visiting services, we’re delighted that we are open again for referrals for remote volunteer support and socially distanced meet-ups, where guidelines allow.

The Home-Start approach to supporting families is characterised by choice, partnership, flexibility, openness, honesty and encouragement.

Home-Start Lambeth will endeavour to provide support to all families who want support from Home-Start Lambeth, live in the Borough of Lambeth, with at least one child under the age of five and who have some kind of additional need.

Can you help us advertise for volunteers?

Please download and display our
Volunteer Recruitment Post

If you work with a family with children under five who would benefit from some extra support, please check they meet our referral criteria.

You can then make a referral for a family here.

If you have difficulty completing this form please contact or call 020 7924 9292.

Home-Start Lambeth will inform referrers when support has been put in place. Families are not supported until we have sent written notification.

Our coordinators will support the family and match them to a volunteer with parenting experience who can offer weekly, non-judgemental support, friendship and help.

Due to social distancing guidelines, we are only able to offer remote support including signposting and phone, video or socially distanced outdoor visits.

Please note we have limited capacity and will close to new referrals when we reach that limit.

If you would like to discuss your referral, please call us on 020 7924 9292. If we are currently closed to new referrals we will take your details and let you know when a space is available.

If you wish to see all of the questions on the referral form, you can download a pdf copy here. All referrals must then be made on the online form.

If you have any queries about remote support, or our services, please call 020 7924 9292 or email

“My experience of working with Lambeth-Home Start Service has been very positive. Home-Start's support was extremely beneficial for this family and although support is for 5 years and under the Home-Start Lambeth Coordinator was more than willing to identify services for the older of this family. The family has improved confidence and less anxiety. Mum is now able to set boundaries and routines for the children. She recognises the impact of domestic abuse on her parenting and has accessed support for this."
